Delivery of this project was all about program. This involved an extremely fast paced strip out programme in a busy hotel, with waste routes through a loading bay shared with network rail and live open space public station concourse. The scope was not without its challenges but with diligent and dedicated management by our site team we completed works successfully and ahead of time.
The project required the disposal of a significant quantities of hotel room furniture as part of the strip out process. Determined not to simply send away for recycling, we transported all the items of furniture to our own ‘Sustainability hub’ Storage facility which afforded us the time we needed to find useful second life homes for each item. We managed to find grateful recipients for nearly all the items removed.
Blackstone has achieved their program in good timing, having a continuous progress with good communication and respect throughout the execution of their works with all the challenges that came up nonetheless they have followed the H&S law & regulations, exceeding optimal standards of working conditions.
