Overview.

The Pinners Hall project involved a complex 14,000m² fit-out across eight floors, in a logistically restricted location in the City of London.

One of the key challenges was the logistical management of removing hundreds of tonnes of materials including the removal of 19t rooftop generator by crane a live site situated at a busy junction in the heart of the City of London. This required careful coordination to ensure the safety of both pedestrians and vehicle traffic, alongside strict scheduling and traffic management to minimise disruption and maintain compliance with local authority requirements.

Sustainability Achievements.

  • Over 8,000m² of carpet tiles were carefully uplifted, palletised  and transported for for reuse.
  • 7,500m² of RAF was lifted with minimal damage, packaged and sent off-site for refurbishment, with the intention for it to be reinstalled as part of the building’s future fit-out.
  • Over 150 large tropical plants were removed and rehomed. Many were gifted to a community garden at UCL, delivering both sustainability and social value outcomes.
  • In partnership with Franchi Hardware, a significant quantity of ironmongery was salvaged. These items will be refurbished, repackaged and made available for reuse in other projects across London.
  • A critical component of the project involved the recovery of major plant and M&E components:A 16-tonne Roof Generator was expertly dismantled and removed by crane from the roof plant area for reuse elsewhere.
  • Pumps, valve sets and air conditioning components were removed intact wherever viable.
  • Light fittings and appliances were carefully removed and segregated for reuse via our partner Reusefully
  • Over 1,000 metres of cable tray was dismantled with care and will be reused within the same building during the next stage of fit-out.
