Chancery House, Chancery Lane
London. WC2A

Overview.

The Chancery Lane project required the full strip out of existing office floors from Lower Ground to 7th floor level whilst live tenants of the London Silver Vaults remained within the ground and subfloor levels.

Works included the removal of all fixtures, fittings, ceilings and partitions and removal of raised access flooring through out.

Redundant MEP services serving the strip out levels Lower Grd to 7th floor were isolated and decommissioned back to risers and in part within plant room areas both on the roof and within Lower Ground floor. Live services remained serving the London Silver Vaults so investigation, tagging and tracing were carried out prior to isolations being carried out.

Logistics planning and management were key to the project and careful management of debris being loaded at the side car park area required design and installation of temporary propping to the car park suspended slab to allow heavy lorries to use and load. Traffic Marshals were used to guide lorries on and off of the main vehicle routes to ensure pedestrians were warned of lorries crossing pavements on Chancery Lane.
