36-38 Grosvenor Gardens
London. SW1W

Overview.

This project required the structural alterations and meticulous stripout of two adjacent grade two listed buildings set out over seven floors.

The works included the careful strip out of partition walls and modern ceilings, all MEP services back to incoming service connections, WCs, kitchens, two passenger lifts installations along with demolition of lift shafts and the forming of new door openings through 600mm thick party walls between the two buildings at every level.

The key to the successful delivery on this project was the care and sensitivity shown to the heritage components of this grade two listed building during the stripout and structural alterations process.

Testimonial.

Darren, David, Gavin and all the Blackstone team were a key partner on the scheme and the works on-site progressing quickly/safely and to the clients requirements.

The site was a challenging one due to the age and condition of the existing fabric and structure, this raised numerous unknown issues as works progressed. The team took this in their stride and assisted the design team as required with positive solutions to the challenges presented in strip-out phase, this team approach enabled the main works programme to progress as planned. Chris and Graham at site level were a pleasure to deal with and key to scheme being successfully completed.
